Anna Lupacchino

Anna has worked as a professional dog trainer since 1998. She is an insightful teacher who is committed to teaching owners how to train their canine companions with a positive and motivational approach to training. Her focus is on the enhancement of the bond and relationship between dog and human companions. She teaches all levels of agility classes including, Foundation classes, Starters Familiarization, Advanced and Masters levels. All classes have a strong focus on positive reinforcement based training.
Anna is dedicated to keeping her education up-to-date and attends many behavioral and agility seminars and conferences. She has taken Handling workshops with Greg Derrett; Puppy workshops with Laura Derrett; Foundation, Handling & Box Work seminars with Susan Garrett; Jumping Clinics with Susan Salo and she attends Outreach Workshops and Agility Camp with Kim Collins.
She is a member of the Agility Association of Canada (AAC) and North American Dog Agility Council (NADAC) and is involved as Chair of the AAC Appeal Committee. She was also involved with helping in the organization and sponsorship of the 2010 AAC BC/Yukon Regional Championship in Abbotsford, BC.
Anna has been involved in agility since October 2000 and started competing in 2002. She and her husband live with their 4 shelter/rescue dogs, Zeena, Lewis, Sam-WOW! and Liberty.
Anna has won AAC BC/Yukon Regional Championships with both Zeena and Lewis taking 1st place in 2005 and Brutus (passed 2010) who place 5th place in 2005. Sam-WOW! is her newest competition dog and he too has started his agility career with some great achievements to his credit, winning the Steeplechase at the 2010 AAC BC/Yukon Regional Championships and travelling to the 2010 AAC Nationals in Spruce Meadows, Calgary, AB. At Nationals, he placed 3rd in the aggregate scoring in Steeplechase. Liberty is the newest addition to the family, having been rescued from a high-kill shelter in Alabama. At this time, she is working on her obedience and will start with Agility Foundation Classes when the time is right.
